I have spent the last twelve years in the financial services industry including six years with Merrill Lynch and six years with Bank of America. Recognizing both the need and the potential for this unique product, I joined Financial Freedom Senior Funding Corp. as a Reverse Mortgage Specialist.
I received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance (with a minor in accounting) from the University of Illinois in Champaign. While working at Merrill Lynch, I attended night school at Loyola University of Chicago to obtain my MBA. I graduated cum laude with a specialization in finance in September 1998.
I currently live in the Lakeview area in Chicago and enjoy being a tourist in my own city by visiting museums, taking tours, and experimenting with new restaurants. Most recently, I have been a tutor/Big Brother for an inner-city sixth grader.
Mission Statement
I view my role as a Reverse Mortgage Specialist as that of a teacher and promoter of the reverse mortgage product. Reverse mortgages are extremely flexible and can benefit seniors in many different situations. I hope to increase awareness of this unique product and, for seniors who feel that the product might be right for them, I will educate them on the mechanics of reverse mortgages, answer their questions, address any concerns, and guide them through the process from application to closing.
I will earn referrals through professional and respectful communication, common sense explanation of the product, and first class follow-up after the close of a transaction.
With my grandmother (90 years old) as my inspiration, I will use my knowledge of finance to help seniors alleviate the financial burden that many of them face. With a reverse mortgage as the cornerstone to their overall retirement plan, I hope to play an important role in allowing seniors to stop worrying about whether they will run out of money and let them focus on enjoying life!
